Biography
Melanie Sellers was appointed Public Defender by Gov. Bill Lee effective March 1, 2025. She has practiced criminal law for more than two decades and has extensive experience representing clients in both General Sessions and Criminal Courts. As Public Defender, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the office and its legal staff.
