Call for Proposals: Baby Doe Litigation Settlement Funds

The Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW) Committee of the Washington County Commission seeks proposals for the opioid litigation settlement funds including:

County allocations (funds that address county system costs incurred in the past due to opioid crisis or increase county capacity to address recovery or prevention in the future); or grants to external organizations who propose programming to address prevention, early intervention for children with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, outpatient treatment programs; supportive services/resources (e.g., housing, job centers, etc. directed at those in recovery) and residential treatment centers (community-facing/court-facing).

Proposals must be submitted by email to Commissioner Jones, HEW Chair, Washington County Commission at jodiforcounty@gmail.com by June 1, 2022.

Proposals must be 3 pages (single spaced) or less, using the following structure/format:

Submitting Agency and Individual Preparing Application:

Coordinating Agencies or Collaborators:

Total Funds Requested:

Brief Overview/Description of Project

Aims: List the Aims of the Project

Rationale: Describe the rationale, including local data that supports the project

Approach: Describe the approach, including the evidence base for this approach

Anticipated Outcomes: Describe the outcomes, including how you plan to measure and report them

Capacity: Describe the capacity of your organization and collaborators to complete the project

Budget:  provide budget details/breakdown of costs
