County Officials, Chamber Members Cut Ribbon for New Self-Service Vehicle Renewal Kiosk in Johnson City
(Johnson City, Tenn.) — Washington County Clerk Cheryl Storey, Washington County Mayor Joe Grandy and several Washington County Commissioners joined members of the Johnson
City/Jonesborough/Washington County Chamber of Commerce this morning to cut the ribbon on a new, self-service, vehicle renewal kiosk in Johnson City. The new kiosk, that resembles a large ATM machine, is located at 378 East Marketplace Blvd, Suite 1, Johnson City.
“I am pleased to offer this new service to renew standard vehicle registrations,” said Storey. “While we continue to operate our offices in Jonesborough and Johnson City, we offer this self-service kiosk as an additional convenience for our Washington County residents. The kiosk is both easy and convenient to use and may decrease lines and wait times for our Washington County citizens.”
Storey said both the Jonesborough office at 100 East Main Street and the Johnson City office will remain open Monday through Friday from 8:00-4:30 pm for those who prefer to renew their tags in person. Online renewals are available at tncountyclerk.com. If you have questions about the new kiosk please call 423-753-1621.
Note: The Kiosk does not dispense license plates and does not allow change of address. A convenience fee will be charged in addition to renewal fee for all transactions.
