  • Washington County Industrial Development Board - The Industrial Development Board of Washington County is accepting applications for Board Membership.  Members serve six-year terms and must be qualified voters and taxpayers of Washington County. The Washington County Industrial Development Board (as defined in TCA 7-53-301) is a public corporation empowered to finance, acquire, own, lease, or dispose of properties to the end that it may be able to maintain and increase employment opportunities, increase the production of agricultural commodities, and increase the quantity of housing available in affected Washington County by promoting industry, trade, commerce, tourism and recreation, agriculture and housing construction by inducing manufacturing, industrial, governmental, educational, financial, service, commercial, recreational and agricultural enterprises to locate in or remain in Washington County, Tennessee and further the use and production of its agricultural products and natural resources.   If you are interested in applying for one of these appointments, complete the application and email it to Sherry Greene in the County Mayor's Office. Applications must be received by February 26, 2024 for consideration.
  • Washington County Board of Equalization - Washington County Board of Equalization will be accepting applications to fill 3 upcoming vacancies. Term of this appointment is two years, beginning April 2024. Meetings are generally held during the month of June each calendar year. Board would be responsible for reviewing tax assessment roll, hear complaints and appeals of taxpayers within their jurisdiction.  Applicants must be a Washington County resident.  If you are interested in applying for one of these appointments, complete the application and email it to Sherry Greene in the County Mayor's Office. Applications must be received by February 28, 2024. 
  • Johnson City Development Authority (JCDA) Tax Increment Fund Advisory Board - The JCDA TIF Advisory Board reviews all Tax Increment Redevelopment Agreements and makes recommendations to the JCDA Board on TIF Agreements.  Washington County will be accepting applications to fill a vacancy.  The County Commission's CIA Committee will review applications. If you are interested in applying for this appointment, complete the application and email it to Sherry Greene in the County Mayor's Office. Applications must be received by February 28, 2024.
